Note:

As of Sisense V8.2.6SP4, you can no ship logs to your Logz.io account.

Sisense provides logs for your deployments on Linux through Logz.io. You can modify the default Sisense Logz.io account with your own Logz.io account.

To connect to your Logz.io account:

  1. In the configuration YAML file you define when deploying Sisense, set external_monitoring to true and sisense_ownerid to your Sisense Over ID. You can retrieve this ID with the command below:

    kubectl get cm -n kube-system cm-logmon-<SISENSE_NAMESPACE>-env -oyaml

You can change these values with the following command:

    kubectl patch cm cm-logmon-<SISENSE_NAMESPACE>-env -n kube-system -p '{"data":{"external_monitoring":"true" , "sisense_ownerid":"<YOUR SISENSE OWNER ID>"}}'

  2. Modify the Sisense Logz.io key and set it to your Logz.io key:.

    kubectl patch cm cm-logz-key -n kube-system -p '{"data":{"logz_key":"<CUSTOMER_LOGZIO_KEY>"}}'

  3. Run the following commands to restart the shipping pods.

    kubectl delete po -n kube-system -l name=fluentd

    kubectl delete po -n kube-system -l k8s-app=fluent-bit

    kubectl delete po -n kube-system -l name=metricbeat

    kubectl delete po -n kube-system -l name=sysinfo
